Trailer B for UP is out, and it includes a talking dog, and some sort of a multi-colored peacock? Still on the track of looking promising though. I have to admit that I'm not on pins and needles for this one as much as I was for WALL-E. Pixar has spoiled me with their perfection... it can't last. Can it?
On a completely different note,
Tonight's ep of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles covered a lot of the clips we saw in the Ausiello spoiler vid I posted earlier...
SPOILER ALERT... Tonight we discover that Cameron's still got a bit of an itch to terminate, and that's not good news for John, or the Audubon society apparently. We also find out that Jessie, aka the girl with the indeterminate accent, has been using Riley, and not in the way we originally thought. Riley's mission to get close to John was actually a ploy all along to provoke Cameron to termination level, thus leading her to off blondie and breaking her sexy robot bond with Connor. Lucky for all of us out there who detested Riley and every moment of air time she got, the blonde is no more! Jessie and Riley's chick fight became more like a cage match, and we all know only one can leave the cage alive. So now Riley's out of the way and John is free to contemplate whether he wants to blow up or bang ro-betty Cameron. Since Summer Glau makes the show worth watching, I'm betting it will be the latter.
I see you recently watched The Double Life of Veronique. I'm a recent convert of Kieslowski, but find his work much to dense to try and review. I'm curious to hear what you thought about it though...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm with you when it comes to the ads for I Love You, Man. Inside jokes don't work if no one gets it but you...
It's so funny you mention that about density, because after I finished Verionique, I had no idea how the hell to review it! This is the first film of his I've seen, and I know I need to watch the bleu blanc and rouge series.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if I liked the movie until a few days after seeing it, when I had been thinking about it constantly. Since it was on my mind so much it must have made an impact. I think his colors are beautiful, and everything's very "you decide how you feel about it" which I go back and forth between enjoying and being annoyed about. Does this make any sense?
Glad you agree about I Love You, Man.
